Re: Hello pls advise me
ashbravo, u calculating using US standard ar
(5k miles = 8k kilometres)
anyway, i did my 1st oil change after 20k km based on instruction manual. boy, my Bravo performed better than anytime between 1-20k km... 2nd opinion from Peter (AS), he says it's ok to change after 20k km. well, he changes his every 5k km as he owns the shop wat
wanna change after 1st 5k km... sure why not if u have $$$ & it'll definitely lighten your pocket
again, it's not a matter of right or wrong if change oil earlier or after 20k km as the effects on engine performance is marginal... for me i choose to keep $$ in the pocket & take the maker's recommendation.
consider this: ask BMW, Alfa Romeo, SAAB, Volvo... they mostly recommend servicing every 15k km as Singaporeans tends to be kaisu. this is also why i convert to conti cars i dun have to bother much about frequent servicing or oil change. i take no offence but most conti cars are built based on euro4 specs & their engines are cleaner as well as better for the environment... well, i cant say much about asian made cars & u also know why rite

like i said earlier, it's personal bro
if you drive easy to moderately fast everyday, then i suggest oil change every 20k km.
if you drive like a wild horse everytime, then i suggest oil change every 5k km.
again times are bad... prices of goods increasing but pay the same... so if u got more $$$ then change lor
